Thorpe Lea Dental in Staines upon Thames, which is situated at the corner of Thorpe Road and Goring Road, is celebrating its 25th anniversary on 6th April 2023.
The dental practice was once a 1926 bungalow built by Mr Goring,whose name now identifies Goring Road in Egham Hythe.
Back in 1998, practice owner Colin remembers giving the go-ahead to a builder to demolish the garage and pave over the garden, which marked the beginning of the transformation of a cold and run down 1920's two-bedroom house into the modern dental practice with a computerised and fully-equipped clinicalenvironment that it is today.
Colin acknowledges that starting any business is a challenging journey. However, he considers himself fortunate to have had the unwavering support of his wife, Anne-Marie. The first year of the Thorpe Lea Dental build was difficult, and they had to reside on-site, making do with only one small bedroom as their living space. The room was subsequently repurposed as an osteopath room and later on transformed into a state-of-the-art decontamination room.
Our practice has achieved several accolades, including winning the esteemed "Employer of the Year" title at the 2022 Investors in People ceremony and other Highly Commended awards at the Dentistry Awards. These accomplishments would not have been possible without the dedicated efforts of our exceptional team, and we are immensely grateful for their contributions to our success. We would also like to thank our loyal patients for their support and trust throughout the years, and we look forward to continuing our journey together and reaching new milestones. Thank you.
