On 1st October, Karolina and Colin took part in the 45-mile bike ride to support Princes Trust Charity. They raised £1,000.Here is what they said about the fantastic London event:“What a great start to a Sunday morning with The Mall and Buckingham Palace in the foreground."“We set off from the start-line in sets of five cyclists at 7:05. With only a few cyclists having started, the first challenge of the day was to navigate by following the black on yellow “palace to palace” direction signs. It wasn't so easy as every roadwork diversion sign in London is also black on yellow, and not all the marshals had taken up their positions for the day. However, the Sunday London motorists and pedestrians were very helpful pointing out the route."“The views along the Thames were spectacular as Karolina and I made our way westward. We were lucky with the weather and the rain held off. The first 10 mile water stop in Richmond Park was a welcome rest. Then it was on to the next leg of the journey out westward to the second Water Stop at 20 miles Lower Sunbury."“There was a great atmosphere and sense of camaraderie. Plenty of fundraisers combined their love for cycling with their sense of humour, coming out with hair dyed purple, some on tandems and we even passed a four-person cycle powered car."“We had a final water stop at the 35-mile point in Longcross and then the last 10 miles took us through Windsor town. There was time for a selfie in front of the castle before finally finishing at Windsor Race Course. We had a great day on our bikes and want to say a big thank you to all those who sponsored us and helped us to support the Prince’s Trust charity and this annual event."Well done Karolina and Colin!
